An lone minotaur who loves battle. His goal is to become a world-class warrior.
Malathok was born into a high, proud, nomadic clan of minotaurs…The Cruor-Mucro. The Cruor-Mucro’s minotaurs are a bit different from the typical minotaur that would be encountered in this world, in that they have formed a civilized culture by some standards. Rather than living like animals, they’ve formed a war-culture which thrives on battle and fighting. Many minotaurs from the Cruor-Mucro, are trained from a young age to become fighters. These fighters then travel all across the world fighting in arenas and tournaments for glory. The head of the Cruor-Mucro is known as the Altus-Cruor. Because of the minotaurs’ great respect for glory found in battle, the Altus-Cruor is picked once ever ten years based upon achievements in battle. The minotaurs vote on their favored candidates until one minotaur is chosen as the Altus-Cruor. The minotaur must win by a 65% majority vote, or the election is declared a “tie.” In the event of a tie, the minotaurs in question are forced to fight to the death to determine who becomes the next Altus-Cruor. Therefore, there is a slight risk to run for the position. Fifteen years ago, Malathok was born as the first of twin brothers to the Altus-Cruor, Thaladirn, and his honorable wife, Tyrinderg. To his parents’ shock, Malathok was born with a curse-mark pattern in his fur. His brother, Falagrin, on the other hand, was born with a blessing etched into his. The Cruor-Mucro’s high priest, also known as the Cruor-Lector, took this as an omen that Malathok would become a burden to the Cruor-Mucro, and that Falagrin would be a hero and a leader. Malathok’s parents heeded the Cruor-Lector’s warning and kept Malathok from training with the other young minotaurs in battle training as they grew. Malathok’s brother, on the other hand, excelled at everything he did and soon became the strongest of the young minotaurs. Malathok burned with jealousy for his brother…not only because of the privileges he received, but because of the favor shown to him by their parents. Malathok ran away from home at the young age of eight to become a warrior by his own standards. He struggled to survive on his own in the wild, but he soon grew strong and began to enter tournaments and battles…which he won. In an effort to grow even stronger, Malathok joined the Admiral Wolverine Lightning Bolts. He wanted to stretch himself further and to find adventure. This brings us to the present day.
